The question remains, who was the lucky student that is now living in a tree in South America?
Day 3: All I’ve eaten so far is some leaves and a few delicious flower buds. My new foster mom is knitting me some gloves, but I haven’t had the heart to tell her that I have five fingers. I’m starting to think I should have gone to Japan, however, irrational fear of Godzillas persists.

Taken from Animal Planet documentary “Meet the Sloths”, this adorable and informative video tells the story of a tiny baby sloth who loses his fur due to mange. The race is then on for staff at the Avarios Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica to dress the little critter in a onesie so he’s warm enough to survive.
That yawn was all the energy it had for the day. Afterward it slept for 23 hours, 59 minutes and 47 seconds.
What better way to end your work week than by watching three incredibly aww-inducing baby sloths as they climb around? Oh that’s right, watching this video while sipping on a glass of red wine.
That anteater is just keeping that hand warm until the sloth arrives. He’s running late.

Sloths have it all figured out, they spend the day lounging around taking it nice and easy, kind of like your average college student (minus the weed).

I filmed this at the Aviaros del Caribe sloth sanctuary in Costa Rica – the world’s only sloth orphanage. Baby 2 and 3 toed sloths, whose mother’s have either been run over or zapped by power lines are brought to the sanctuary and looked after by legendary sloth whisperer Judy Arroyo. For more sloth photos and videos follow my blog pinktreefrog.typepad.com/ or twitter twitter.com/amphib_avenger. For more on the sanctuary go to slothrescue.org.
Music: “Scrapping and Yelling” by Mark Mothersbaugh from “The Royal Tenenbaum’s” movie soundtrack.
Why is it that all baby sloths look like they just want to snuggle, clearly there is a snuggle shortage in the sloth kingdom. Who’s willing to help them out with a little hug?
