    the same thing happened with a whale and a herring. they were best friends, and went everywhere together. Then one day, after a big argument between the two, the whale disappeared under suspicious circumstances. when police questioned the herring as to where the whale went, he angrily replied, “How should I know? I’m not my blubber’s kipper!”

    This is exactly why People think they make pets. They are wild animals…treat them as such.

  • Nathan

    Karen – I agree. I have always treated my children as wild animals.

    The picture is adorable.Babies grow up, then they aren’t as adorable.
    I believe Orangutans belong in their natural habitats.
    I feel concerned what will happen to this Orangutan,when he/she gets older.

    @william
    YO… folks! The girl MET the baby gorilla in an animal rescue place, and it’s NOT her “pet”. It was a one day visit in which pics were taken. Then TWO YEARS LATER, they spent another day together. This is not a dangerous situation. Please do your research before you spout off and make an ass of yourself.

    The orangutan is named Rishi. Rishi lives with his adopted family of four older orangutans at The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species (TIGERS) in Miami, Florida.

    Okay all you worriers. The father is a photographer and he took his daughter to an animal sanctuary where people can interact with the animals for a photoshoot and story. His little girl and the orangutan hit it off as soon as they saw each other and played together for a few hours.  She isn’t growing up with it as a pet.

    This is indeed cute!

    Unfortunately some one on Facebook made the first image into a nasty racist meme.

    I’m sharing this page so they will know what it was supposed to be about.
    The page was ‘Laughing so hard you feel a six pack coming on’.
