As he reached out his hand for mine, I knew that we would always be together…well up till the point he said “pull my finger”.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr purr purr.

Now all we need is some mutagenic radioactive waste, Jackie Chan in a beat up Chuck E. Cheese outfit, a bunch of pizzas from Pizza Hut, and then we’ll have ourselves some real Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

These are a few of some 45 hatchlings from the Linton Zoological Gardens in the UK. They are African Spurred Giant Tortoises, also knowns as Sulcata Tortoises — the third largest tortoise in the world, second only to the Galapagos and the Aldabra Tortoises. Some babies hatched in August, but most did in September, making them about 8 weeks old when the picture was taken. All are eating well and growing.

Surely the panda can see through those feeble disguises. Just look at that little face, it knows!

A mother and a baby panda are enjoying life in a nature reserve, after humans dressed in curiously familiar suits set them free.
The baby was born in captivity but handlers have tried to limit human interaction with the animal to maintain a healthy fear.
The handlers carried the baby panda in a basket lined with trees and branches, before setting it free.
She will wear a radio collar and if the pair do well under observation, they’ll be moved to a more remote location in the wild.
